Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in numerous TV shows like "Christy", a drama about a young woman known as Christy Huddleston. Also, she is known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin is the daughter of a department-store buyer and kindergarten teacher, started her career as an actress at age seven. Her aunt, who was the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children helped Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". Her professional career began when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industry. Martin is, in addition to being an accomplished actor and dancer, she is also a skilled ballet photographer. She is a mother of two children and is the spokesperson of Lupus. Since her 19 year old sister's passing, Martin has worked to spread awareness of Lupus and its symptoms.
